After listing the boat with you on an exclusive basis, you completed the sale in only three months, in August 2026. In a relatively weak market that was a very reasonable result, and I am convinced that a purely private sale would have taken considerably longer and been far more difficult.
You acted as broker for both seller and buyer. That dual role can easily create tension, yet you remained even-handed throughout. I received a fair price for a well-prepared boat, and the buyer equally appreciated a transparent, professional process. The security of working through an established brokerage — rather than transferring a large sum to a private individual — was clearly important to the buyer and, in hindsight, equally valuable to me.
The 8% commission was money well spent. Your local knowledge, handling of the transaction, and calm, straightforward communication made the difference.
