Ever dreamed of throwing the lines and setting off to cruise around Australia or out to the South Pacific? Well, we may just have the perfect boat to take you there in safety and in comfort.
Built in South Africa in 1965 in South Africa, Shilo was designed as a trans-Pacific vessel and over the years has been modernised to become a sensational family cruiser. Built to a very high quality that is unmatched by modern models, Shilo is powered by reliable twin 125hp Gardener engines with two gensets, fin stabilisers, lithium battery bank, solar panels, and more. She has just undergone a comprehensive 12-month refit and is now ready to set off on new adventures.
Built to last in steel, Shilo is a displacement hull design and cruises very efficiently at 8.5 knots with a range of 3500nm. She is very social yacht with an expansive rear deck comprising dining table and lounge for up to 10 guests, as well as a comfortable and welcoming saloon, and a social galley further forward with great ventilation through the side doors.
The raised wheelhouse is the sole driving position and gives the captain a sense of driving a little ship, while the engine room is a real pleasure to work in.
Shilo was being prepared for a circumnavigation by the owner, but their circumstances have unfortunately changed. So this is a superb opportunity for an astute buyer to now take the helm of this fantastic vessel and enjoy some cruising in style.
The vessel is currently in commercial survey for up to 32 passengers and has worked as a successful charter boat in the past, so the opportunity also exists to use her for a charter business.
