1996 Fadara 66 | Obsession

It is our pleasure to introduce you to a remarkable example of design and engineering from the Fadara Shipyard of Malaysia. Obsession was originally built and customised for the Finance Minister of Malaysia at the time.

Fadara was a shipyard providing quick-response attack boats for the Malaysian military, which, during slower production periods, focused on filling a gap in the market and producing very special vessels for a discerning consumer market.

An outstanding feature of this boat, inherited from Fadara’s knowledge and expertise in military-grade naval construction, is the Kevlar-incorporated lining within the Massimo Gregori Grgic hull design.

Over the past 12 months, this 66′ Fadara Motor Yacht has undergone careful and considered mechanical and systems renovations (at great expense) to make this vessel one that any new owner will be exceptionally proud to cruise and enjoy with friends and loved ones.

Obsession is a luxury four-cabin, three-head vessel with interiors designed by the renowned Yankee Delta Studio.

At 38-tonnes, she is a featherweight in her class and can reach max speeds of 23 knots, powered by dual 850 hp MAN 2840 V10 engines. She likes to cruise at 18 knots and performs most economically at 12 knots burning approximately 80 litres per hour.

In 2021, Obsession was upgraded with new Simrad electronics, new carbon fibre helm station, complete hull repaint, new flybridge clears, new Maxwell anchor winch and new chain.

The feeling of space and the sense of elegance is perceived in every corner of this vessel; whether positioned up high on the flybridge which comfortably seats eight, in the huge aft deck, generous saloon, aft full-beam master or VIP forward cabin, every room of this motor yacht allows the space you need to enjoy a vessel whenever and wherever you choose.
