1985 Olympic 42 Ketch | Atlas
Designed and built in Greece, Atlas is an ideal blue-water liveaboard yacht loaded with features. She has a solid fibreglass layup and has enjoyed a comprehensive refit over the past 18 months, including decks repainted, new hatches and port lights, safety lines replaced, bottom sandblasted, new antifoul and a recent full service.
Atlas has a dry centre cockpit with a big solid doghouse for comfortable sailing in the most challenging weather conditions. She features a great sail plan, and both main and mizzen have in-mast furling while the headsail is fitted with a Furlex furler. Five winches and one that is electric mean Atlas presents a huge range of options for your sail plan.
The yacht has a two-cabin/two-head layout and can comfortable accommodate eight onboard. The generous owner’s cabin is accessible via the saloon as well as the cockpit and also features a private ensuite. Forward is a twin V-berth and head, while extra accommodation is available courtesy of the pilot berth, additional single berth and the drop-down table in the saloon that converts to a double bed.
Atlas has an extensive suite of electronics, including radar, new Garmin chart plotter, Garmin wind instruments, Garmin depth and speed log, two auto pilots, icom VHF and icom SSB.
Her current owner has thoroughly enjoyed cruising aboard Atlas, including competing in the Airlie Beach Race Week.
