Born in Brazil, Rafael embarked on his journey into the boating industry after completing his engineering studies and relocating to New Zealand in 2010. Motivated by his lifelong passion for the sea, Rafael pursued his dream of working in the marine sector, where he has since gained extensive experience both on the water and behind the scenes.

Over the years, Rafael has owned and personally enjoyed a range of sailing and motor vessels, exploring the renowned cruising grounds of New Zealand. His commitment to the marine community also includes volunteering as a senior crew member with Coastguard New Zealand.

Rafael’s passion for boating has taken him on numerous offshore sailing expeditions. During these adventures, he studied for his Yachtmaster Offshore certification, which further deepened his technical knowledge and practical experience.

Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Rafael brings a diverse skillset, energy, and dedication to The Yacht Sales Co. team. He is committed to helping clients realise their boating dreams, providing expert guidance and personalised service every step of the way.
