Stephen Hobbs
As TYSC General Manager for Dufour Yachts, Steve’s love for sailing began in southern England, racing dinghies and later competing in offshore regattas across the English Channel. His professional journey started in corporate marketing and consulting in London, culminating in his dream role as Global Marketing Director for Sunsail International Yacht Charter. There, Steve oversaw marketing for the UK, US, and Europe, managing a $100M business and building strong relationships across the global marine industry.
After relocating to Australia with his wife in 2000, Steve combined his expertise with his passion, working with Sunsail Australia, Multihull Solutions, and importing yachts, all while racing extensively – notably, winning the Pittwater to Coffs Harbour race in 2008 on a 42’ Harmony yacht.
Following senior consulting roles with PwC and KPMG, Steve has returned to his true passion, leading Dufour Yachts Asia Pacific and driving its reputation as the region’s premier choice for performance cruising yachts.

The Yacht Sales Co. has two Sales Centres located in the dynamic marine precinct of The Boat Works in Coomera to cater for buyers and sellers across all market segments.
Our Pre-Owned Sales Centre is located adjacent to our highly popular ‘Out-Of-Water Boat Show’ hardstand facility in the South Yard, while our New Yacht Flagship Sales Centre is located in ‘The Dock’ building in the North Yard.
OUT-OF-WATER BOAT SHOW
Our Gold Coast Pre-Owned Sales Centre incorporates our highly popular Out-Of-Water Boat Show, a permanent display of yachts showcased on hardstands rather than in marina berths, allowing for a comprehensive view of our yachts for sale.
A line-up of premium Pre-owned yachts are on display at our Out-Of-Water Boat Show every week from Monday to Friday, Saturday morning until midday and by appointment for other times on weekends.
Appointments are required to inspect any of the boats on display and can be made by contacting our Gold Coast Sales team.
