Being in real estate sales for 21 years, I was ambivalent and nervous re buying my first yacht and spending so much money. I purchased the vessel and then cooled off. At this point, I believed the relationship with Alexis would have gone south, as no sales person likes someone cooling off. This is where Alex won me over – he was incredibly understanding and explained my position to the boat owners. Some months passed and I contacted Alexis again due to his professionalism, this time regarding another yacht – however, we began to discuss the yacht I had originally put the offer on. I renegotiated some terms and ended up buying the original yacht !! Alex is a tremendous asset to this business. I admit I can be high maintenance myself, however Alexis’s candour and demeanour always kept my nerves at bay. He took my calls night and day. I can honestly say that Alexis sold me this yacht – the yacht did not sell itself. I would not have purchased it without his intricate knowledge of sailing. Not once did he sell me anything – he was just enthusiastic and believed this was a great yacht to purchase. Of course, I had the yacht pulled out of the water and surveyed. If I sell this yacht down the track, Alexis will be selling it. He is direct and honest, and when you’re spending this type of money you really do need this, I cannot deal with bullshit! I feel I have forged a small friendship with Alexis and I truly wish him all the best.
