WHAT IS A TYSC AFFILIATE
Becoming an Affiliate of The Yacht Sales Co. provides you with the unique opportunity to earn a fee or commission payment in return for connecting our team with qualified leads/contacts who successfully purchase a new or pre-owned yacht from TYSC or choose to sell their yacht with TYSC.
An Affiliate relationship with TYSC does not constitute a partnership, you are not a representative, an employee or a contractor of the company.
In contrast, your arm’s length distance and neutrality from the company should be a tool you use when recommending our services to potential leads.
It is imperative that you are transparent with your current employer or anyone who may be granting you access to a situation that provides you contact with potential referrals. For example, if you work for a marina, we expect you to discuss the affiliate program with your employer, and that they give their blessing for you to join this affiliate program.
HOW TO EXPLAIN YOUR RELATIONSHIP
Your pitch is that you are recommending our services based on your solid belief that we are a reputable company and honest team of people who sell quality products and services.
For this reason, we do not supply you with an email address or business cards. Instead, we supply you with training on the products and services we offer, so you can confidently discuss why a buyer or selling should allow you to pass on their details to us.
We encourage you to be upfront with any buyer or seller that you could receive a financial benefit for passing on their details, but it will also provide them a great experience and access to a high-quality service.
HOW TO REGISTER YOUR REFERRALS
Once accepted as a TYSC Affiliate, you will have access to our Affiliate Client Registration Form. You should complete the registration form each time you refer a buyer or seller.
- You must only register a client if they are qualified and if you have made them fully aware that you are passing on their contact details to TYSC.
- TYSC will advise the client in our first communication that we have received their contact details from you.
- You must have explained to the client that they will receive a call and/or email from a sales consultant and that they will receive marketing emails from TYSC, until they unsubscribe.
- All required fields must be completed with relevant information for the registration to be considered valid, including what the contact is looking to buy, or the base information about the yacht they are looking to sell.
- Applicable referral payment will be paid if the referred client purchases a new or pre-owned yacht within 12 months of the date you entered the referral.
- Referral payments will be made at the time of delivery of settlement of pre-owned yachts, or at the time of delivery for new yachts.
- Referral will only be valid if the client does not already exist in our database, proof will be provided where a contact already exists.
- If a contact already exists in our database, but there has been no contact for a long period (at management’s discretion) we may still consider this contact a referral, as you have resurfaced their interest.
- The contact will be allocated to the sales consultant we believe best fits the location and needs of the client.
- TYSC will update you if the deal you have referred is successful or if we decide the deal is lost.
- You may request to be included in the correspondence and meetings with the client, giving you a great opportunity to learn the process of buying or selling a yacht. Your involvement in the process will be at the sole discretion of TYSC management and will take into consideration the comfort of the client involved.
