2002 Moody 54 | Ocean Blue

Ocean Blue was built by Princess Yachts, the British luxury yacht builder synonymous with breathtaking craftsmanship and exceptional attention to detail.

The Moody 54 is a fast ocean cruising yacht specifically designed to be easily handled by two people and features roller furling on all sails, including the main, electric winches and a bow thruster. The centre cockpit is well sheltered and very safe.

Her current owners set off on a trip around the world 5 years ago. Leaving the UK, they travelled down the French, Spanish, Portuguese and Moroccan coasts before arriving in the Canary Islands – They then crossed Atlantic Ocean to St Lucia with the ARC in 2016.  After enjoying the Eastern coast of the US for a year, they returned to the Caribbean heading south as far as Trinidad via the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands before transiting the Panama Canal.

Galapagos followed before a long period in French Polynesia during Covid period.  New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji have completed the journey before reaching Queensland in Australia.

Consequently, she is fully equipped for ocean going voyages and has proven bluewater performance and dependability. Self-sufficiency at sea is aided by solar panels, wind generators and a Spectra watermaker.

The luxurious interior features beautiful timberwork throughout, and a remarkable saloon including a dining table with a large curved settee to starboard and another lounge to port.

Accommodation includes a generous ensuited owner’s cabin, a VIP cabin and a twin cabin. Home comforts include a well-equipped galley, a washer/dryer and air-conditioning.

This outstanding yacht has been very well maintained and is in great condition. Upgrades include a new Calibre mainsail in 2023.
