2000 Lightwave 35 | Harmonic

Harmonic is a well-presented 2000 Lightwave 35, offering a proven blend of performance, comfort and efficiency in a manageable cruising package. Built by Lightwave Catamarans in Queensland, this Australian-designed multihull is known for its solid construction, practical layout and enjoyable sailing characteristics.

Designed for comfortable coastal cruising and extended time aboard, Harmonic features a functional three-cabin layout with two queen berths and a double, complemented by full head height throughout and a well-appointed galley in the starboard hull. Repowered in 2020 with twin Sole Diesel Mini 29 engines, she offers reliable and economical performance, cruising comfortably at 6–7 knots. Shaft drives with feathering Autostream propellers enhance efficiency under both sail and power. Her sailing setup is equally well considered, including a full-batten mainsail, furling genoa, staysail and asymmetrical spinnaker, supported by quality Harken winches and updated standing rigging (2025).

Onboard systems have been thoughtfully upgraded for modern cruising. A lithium battery bank supported by a Victron Energy inverter/charger, solar panels and portable generator provide excellent energy independence. Navigation is well covered with Raymarine electronics including autopilot and AIS, while additional comforts such as hot water, electric toilet and a Rainman watermaker support extended cruising.

On deck, a hardtop cockpit with clears provides protection and comfort, while stainless davits support a 3m aluminium tender with Yamaha outboard. Anchoring is handled by an electric windlass with Rocna anchors, and a BBQ completes a well-equipped cruising setup.
