1977 Swan 41 | Anthea

Anthea is a beautifully proportioned 1977 Nautor Swan 41, designed by the legendary Sparkman & Stephens and built in Finland to the exacting standards that established Nautor Swan’s worldwide reputation. Hull #59 of only 61 Swan 41s built, she represents a rare opportunity to own one of the most respected offshore cruising and racing yachts of her era.

At 12.5 metres overall, Anthea combines classic Swan styling with robust hand-laid fibreglass construction, teak decks and a fin keel. Her 8,100kg displacement and proven hull design provide the strength, balance and rewarding sailing characteristics for which these early Sparkman & Stephens Swans remain highly regarded.

Power is provided by a Perkins 4.108 37hp diesel, rebuilt in 2011 and showing approximately 1,390 hours since rebuild. Shaft drive and a three-blade feathering propeller provide a straightforward and proven propulsion arrangement, while the engine was most recently serviced in October 2025.

Her traditional cruising interior provides two cabins, a queen berth and four additional single berths, with 6’3″ headroom. The practical saloon galley features top-loading refrigeration, a Force 10 two-burner stove and oven, while a manual Baby Blake head, holding tank and hot water system complete the accommodation.

Anthea is equipped for independent cruising with useful upgrades throughout. Her ground tackle includes a 25kg Rocna anchor with 85 metres of 8mm high-test chain renewed in 2024, supported by two Fortress anchors and a Maxwell VWC1200 windlass serviced with new seals and spacer tube in 2025. An Achilles 11ft inflatable tender with Nissan 8hp outboard is also included.

Her classic offshore pedigree is complemented by a practical cruising inventory, including B&G instrumentation, navigation and communications equipment, bimini, dodger and full-boat awning. The inventory also records her standing and running rigging, mast and winches in good visual condition, while the sails are assessed as average. Her antifouling was freshly completed in July 2026 using International Micron One.

Already positioned at Vuda Point Marina, Fiji, with Fiji import duty paid, Anthea offers immediate access to some of the world’s finest cruising grounds.
