2006 Leopard 47 | Double Play

Double Play is a well-proven 2006 Leopard 47 catamaran, offering the ideal combination of offshore capability, spacious accommodation and comfortable liveaboard cruising. Built by Robertson & Caine, this highly regarded four-cabin model has earned a reputation as one of the most capable cruising catamarans of her generation, equally suited to family adventures, extended passagemaking and life afloat.

Originally operated in charter before being retired from service in 2021, Double Play was subsequently prepared for serious offshore cruising and has since demonstrated her capabilities across the Pacific. Her current owners, who purchased the vessel in 2015, undertook an extensive cruising programme and successfully sailed her to the South Pacific in 2023, arriving in New Caledonia third in a fleet of 20 vessels.

Designed with both comfort and practicality in mind, Double Play comfortably accommodates up to 8–10 guests. Her spacious cockpit provides an outstanding entertaining area, while the hard bimini and protected helm station create a comfortable environment for passagemaking in a wide range of conditions. Sail handling is straightforward, with all lines led aft to the helm, allowing efficient short-handed operation.

Inside, the generous saloon and well-appointed galley make extended cruising a pleasure. The galley easily accommodates multiple people preparing meals, with twin refrigerators, a large freezer and excellent storage throughout. The versatile saloon table can also convert into an additional double berth when required.
