First Official Images of the FP48 Unveiled

  • July 29, 2026

The first official images of the highly anticipated Fountaine Pajot FP48 have been unveiled, offering the first glimpse of the next-generation sailing catamaran ahead of its world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival.

Joining the FP48 on debut will be the all-new FP55 and the FPY 70S, the inaugural model in the new Fountaine Pajot Yachts range. Together, the three world premieres mark one of the French shipyard’s most significant product launches in recent years.

As the exclusive dealer for Fountaine Pajot across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, The Yacht Sales Co. is now inviting clients to register private inspections of the new models during Cannes, with virtual appointments also available for those unable to attend the festival in person.

The FP48 succeeds the award-winning Tanna 47 and introduces a refined approach to life on the water, combining contemporary styling with enhanced comfort, improved onboard flow and the latest cruising technology. Designed for easy shorthanded sailing, the new 48-footer features generous indoor-outdoor living spaces connected by a three-metre sliding glass door, an expansive Lounge Deck, central galley and the choice of Maestro owner’s or Quatuor family layouts.

Continuing Fountaine Pajot’s commitment to more sustainable cruising, the FP48 also incorporates the latest ODSea+ hybrid-ready energy solution, supported by up to 2,300W of solar generation to deliver greater onboard autonomy for extended cruising.

Greg Boller, General Manager – Fountaine Pajot for The Yacht Sales Co., said the release of the first official images marks an exciting milestone ahead of one of the most anticipated boat shows of the year.

“The FP48 builds on everything owners have loved about the Tanna 47 while introducing a fresh new direction for the range, with an even greater emphasis on comfort, connectivity and long-range cruising.”

“We’ve had strong interest since the model was first announced and we’re looking forward to helping our clients experience it firsthand at Cannes.”

Boller said the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival promises to be a landmark event for the renowned French builder.

“It’s rare to see three all-new models launched at the same event. Cannes gives our clients the opportunity to step aboard each of them, compare the latest innovations and speak directly with our team and the shipyard.”

Alongside the world premieres, visitors to the Fountaine Pajot display will also be able to explore a broad selection of the builder’s current sailing and motor yacht range, making Cannes one of the most comprehensive showcases of the brand to date.

The Yacht Sales Co. team will be on the ground throughout the festival, offering personalised inspections, expert guidance and consultations for clients considering ownership opportunities.

Private viewing appointments can now be registered via 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival – The Yacht Sales Co., while virtual inspections are available for clients unable to travel to France, ensuring they can still experience the latest Fountaine Pajot models from anywhere in the world.

The 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival will be held from 8–13 September 2026.
