David Jamieson

David’s passion for the sea began at the age of 10, racing dinghies and cruising on the family yacht. His professional maritime career started at 18 and has spanned over 20 years. With Masterclass 4 and Ocean Yachtmaster qualifications, David has skippered a diverse range of vessels, including square riggers, schooners, charter yachts, dive boats, cargo ships, tug boats, rig tenders, racing yachts, and super yachts. This extensive experience has provided him with remarkable knowledge of yachts of all manufacturers and models.

David spent two years in Phuket operating his own yacht agency business before purchasing Yacht Help in Fiji, where he has resided ever since. Under his leadership, Yacht Help has evolved from a repair and maintenance operation into a Fiji-wide superyacht agency, brokerage, and marine store. It is also a national Volvo agent and Yamaha service centre, employing over 30 staff. The company is set to open a new branch in Nawi Island, Fiji.

David’s wealth of knowledge is now shared with The Yacht Sales Co.’s clients in the region, helping them turn their cruising dreams into reality in one of the world’s most picturesque locations.
