2002 Amel | Super Maramu 2000
A legend in the world of ocean yachting, the Amel Super Maramu 2000 is an outstanding example of exceptional construction and performance by the renowned Henri Amel.
The 16m centre-cockpit yacht features a draft of 2.05 metres and can reach speeds of up to 8 knots.
The Amel Super Maramu 2000 was produced by the brand Amel from 1999 to 2005, and Kaimin was purchased by her current owner in 2004 with her original owner spending just two summers aboard.
Her UK owners took delivery of Kaimin in the south of France and cruised the Mediterranean for summer holidays. In 2008, they joined the Blue Water Round the World Rally, returning through the Suez in 2010. They continued enjoying their summer holidays aboard in the Mediterranean until 2014 when they sailed across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. Since then, they have cruised the Caribbean each year from October to May, and in 2023 joined the World ARC Pacific rally, departing from St Lucia and arriving in Tahiti in May 2023.
After almost 20 years of unforgettable adventures, her owners are reluctantly offering Kaimin for sale so others can continue enjoying her many features.
Henri Amel’s yachts are renowned for being exceptionally comfortable, whether sailing solo or as a couple. Amel yachts were the first to receive the bow thruster, electric winches and other aids to make life at sea easier. Another characteristic is the central location of the cockpit, even when arming the sloops, as well as a rigid windscreen for outstanding cockpit protection.
