2015 Moody 54 | Calypso

Calypso is a Moody 54 Deck Saloon built in ­Germany by Hanse Yachts.  Offering a true pilothouse that is relatively low and sleek, and featuring exceptional access from the cockpit into the saloon, this yacht is ideal for coastal or world cruising.

Her spacious cockpit is fitted with a pair of long, comfortable lounges and large convertible table, all protected by a retractable soft bimini for all-weather protection.

Twin wheels are each fronted by a set of large pods with engine and (bow and stern) thruster controls, sailing instruments and chart plotters. All sailing controls and running rigging are led aft to port and starboard electric Lewmar winches just forward of the steering pedestals. The transom folds down hydraulically to create a substantial swim/­boarding platform for safe sea access.

Sliding glass doors connect the one-level cockpit and main saloon, and the galley-up is perfectly configured for entertaining. Accommodation comprises a generous owner’s cabin with ensuite, while there is also an additional three guest cabins to comfortably host family and friends.

Indoor navigation is an enjoyable experience with a spacious and comprehensively equipped nav station.

The hull construction features isophthalic gelcoat and vinylester resin with a ­balsa-core sandwich above the waterline. A state-of-the-art CZone ­digital switching and monitoring system is the hub of the electrical system, instruments and gauges.
