In response to the unprecedented growth in Southeast Asia’s yachting market, The Yacht Sales Co. have announced a new Sales Centre, new senior appointments and new brands to their portfolio.

The sister companies will open a third Thailand sales centre on Saturday 1 April at Ocean Marina Jomtien. Conveniently located in Chon Buri, the new centre complements the companies’ other two Thai Sales Centres in Phuket’s Boat Lagoon and Yacht Haven Marina.

The Yacht Sales Co. are the exclusive Southeast Asia dealers for the world’s leading brands, including Fountaine Pajot, Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts, Maritimo, NEEL Trimarans, Cora Cat, Absolute Yachts (Thailand), Dufour Yachts (Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore) and Tesoro Yachts (Thailand and Singapore).

A new sales facility is also planned to open in Hong Kong in late 2023 as well as a larger new sales centre in Sentosa in Singapore, resulting in a total of seven offices in the region dedicated to helping clients realise their boating dreams and provide a new standard in after-sales service. The companies also have sales centres and consultants based in The Philippines and Malaysia.

As part of this strategic expansion, the companies have announced several key appointments, including Nicolich Boby Noman (Boby) as Southeast Asia service manager, Jim Poulson as the region’s Maritimo brand manager, Orawan Langjew as brokerage and administration assistant, and Toon Scholten as assistant manager of the new Ocean Marina Jomtien sales centre, with the Southeast Asia team led by general manager Paul Stamp.

With decades of industry experience between them, the companies’ Southeast Asia team is arguably the region’s most knowledgeable and are highly qualified to assist clients with every aspect of their yachting needs. In addition to their extensive experience, the team is multilingual and able to assist clients in many languages, including Thai, Mandarin and Cantonese, French, Swiss, Belgian, Spanish, German, and more.

Chief executive officer Mark Elkington said the expansion was an exciting development for the companies, signifying the continued growth of boating in the region and the success of the teams’ client service divisions.

‘œWe are proud to represent a discerning selection of the world’s finest brands in the region,’ Elkington said.

‘œThis additional infrastructure and personnel investment represents our firm commitment to further developing Southeast Asia’s yachting industry and bringing the very highest standards of service to all clients across our growing sales network.’
