1990 Spy 48 | Wai Knot

Wai Knot is a 1990 Spy 48 that has been well maintained and is a perfect liveaboard.

Designed and built on the Gold Coast in1990 by Gary Hewson, who was responsible for the construction of many top boats, Wai Knot  features a very bright and surprisingly spacious interior.

Her current owner purchased the yacht in 2019 and sailed the NZ coast and Cook Strait many times. The yacht has also sailed to Fiji, New Caledonia and Australia, proving her offshore merits.

Wai Knot has a large cockpit with direct, easy and safe access from a marina dock. She features excellent headroom (193cm/6’4’) inside and outstanding natural lighting and ventilation.

The yacht’s timber construction (60mm strip plank glassed inside and out) makes her very quiet and cool.

Sail handling is a breeze with everything managed from cockpit, except pulling luff to reef.
