Yarra Shuttle 1 is a rare find indeed. In full commercial survey, this outstanding passenger ferry is suited to both Port Philips Bay and the Yarra River operations.
As a purpose-built vessel on a John Hunter’s design, she can traverse under Melbourne’s lowest bridges during most tidal conditions. Yarra Shuttle 1 is currently the only vessel built to be wheelchair friendly in Melbourne and was smartly designed to align with the floating landings down the Yarra and Williamstown.
Yarra Shuttle 1 is an ultra-low, wide-bodied, sleek passenger ferry designed for sightseeing and functions. Able to carry up to 60 passengers in comfort, she also has ample room for storage, including luggage, prams, etc. The vessel can seat up to 45 passengers on the aft open-air level with unobstructed 360-degree sightseeing views, and also 35 people in the enclosed interior cabin.
With her clean, minimalist style cutting a stylish silhouette, she is ideal for transfers, scenic cruises and private functions.
Her hull and deck are constructed of marine-grade aluminium, making her maintenance minimal and easy. Yarra Shuttle 1 is powered by a low-hours economical Iveco engine, which is only four years old, and her stability gives a smooth ride in all sea conditions.
Furthermore, this boat also come with a dedicated and exclusive Ticket Box, located at Federation Square in Melbourne, one of city’s main tourist locations. The ticket box offers flexibility for additional type of operations for those with the right vision.
